Also, Congratulations on the move! Another option maybe a little more middle of the road Between the complexity of Confluence + Jira for you would be to just host your own wordpress based site. You could then use something like RoleScoper to basically convert the site to a CMS, with all the benefits of Wordpress, throw in a few other plugins and you could have forums and maybe even a simple tracking system.
